There used to be a roof on the Lord's bedroom

This apparently used to be the Lord of the Castle's bedroom! Clearly he liked the idea of being closer to nature.

I actually had a bit of an issue while pp this shot. Turned out, I forgot to change the camera settings from the shutter to aperture priority (no HDR photographer worth his salt should ever commit this heinous act). The day was so bright that out of the 3 brackets, I was able to use only 2. So, this I suppose is not an HDR in the truest sense. But hopefully you like it!

Over the past few months in the Netherlands, we managed to find a few fellow country people who were quite fun to hang out with. On this fine Saturday, we bought "train day-passes" for the whole country and decided that we wanted to go as far as possible.

That destination turned out to be Valkenburg, in the south of the country, also known as the place where three countries meet (ie The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany).

It truly was an amazing day, especially since the weathermen contemplated rain. This is a street view near the city center. The trip was about 16 hours long, with 6 of them being on the train!
