116/365 - What happened to my music?!?!
Dec 18, 2011
Man what happened to my music?!?!
I find myself asking that question CONSTANTLY. What happened to the feel good music that used to saturate the airwaves? You used to be able to get great ALBUMS now just 2 or 3 good songs. What happened to the type of music where no matter where you were, you just stopped in your tracks and had to dance or at least pay attention to the words? Now it sounds like the artists don't even pay attention to what they're saying.
This crap they are making now wouldn't even pass for reference tracks back then. You had to actually be saying something to be considered an ARTIST. I'm a hip hop head, so I listen to MY golden era of hip hop, basically anything from the 90s.
There's only a select few that I can really get down with now days. Most of what's coming out now is the same subject matter that I never could relate to. I've never killed anyone, I don't club, and never slang crack, so I guess hip hop has grown apart from me..
Ah well.. Nothing lasts forever.
I guess I'll be going through old albums and continue to post youtube videos to my facebook of the "good ol' days"..
DANG I feel old..
