Courageous Conversations - April 22, 2024
On Monday, April 22, 2024, President Helene Gayle, joined by Errin Haines, award-winning journalist, editor-at-large and a founding mother of The 19th News, and Dr. Cynthia Neal Spence, Spelman associate professor of sociology and director of the Spelman’s Social Justice Fellows Program, for a special edition of “Courageous Conversations: Black in the C-Suite." The session titled “Power of the Black Woman Vote” focused on the upcoming 2024 presidential election – described by some as the most important in our nation’s history.
We held a riveting conversation in the Rockefeller Arts Building Baldwin Burroughs Theatre to discuss Black women's top issues in the election, how Black women have had a voice, the importance of student participation, and more.
