How Feedly deals with unread messages

I love how Feedly deals with too many unread news.

 

Instead of overloading me with an ASTRONOMIC (ok, I'm over exaggerating) number of unread news, it just informs me that there are unread news.

 

In that way it doesn't scare me off.
