the perfect lunch

This time of year, when you hit the last warm days of summer and gardens are bountiful, my idea of the perfect lunch is tomato and cucumber sandwiches and a good mystery novel. In this case, appropriately, The Savage Garden by Mark Mills- a new writer to me and very enjoyable.

 

home made seven grain bread

tomatoes-ours and local farmers'

crisp cucumber

a tad of lowfat mayo

a smidgen of a good goat/sheep feta

liberal splash of lemon pepper
