"knock it out of the park"

From 1943 to 1950 Racine had a Girl's Professional Baseball team called the Racine Belles. The Belles won the league's first championship. The team played its home games at Horlick Field. The bench's artist is Nicole Zimmer.

The 2019 public art project entries were unveiled last Saturday. They are benches with attached flower boxes built by the Veterans Outreach group and decorated by local artists. The theme is "Racine's Past, Present and Future".
