Snow Sculpting - Day 1 (Fri.)

Racine is having a snow sculpting event this weekend. I went downtown at about 4pm and they were just making the last of 20 4'x4'x8', 4000 pound blocks of snow. The snow was man-made, transported to the square and placed in the "mold" with a loader-backhoe, a small amount at a time, and then tamped down to make a solid block.
