Ruby and Rubin
Well the time has come for Rubin to explore the world without his foster mum. We took them both back to the stud today where Rubin will have his DNA taken, branded, have a hernia operation and eventually weaned off Ruby.
Ruby saved the day when she accepted 3 day old orphaned Rubin as her baby after she herself had lost a little baby only days earlier.
They will be put into a paddock with several other mares and foals, then the stud staff seperate mares from foals, and the foals then have to cope on their own. At least he will have some playmates. Stay safe Ruby and Rubin. And thanks Ruby for looking after our little rebel.
