Afternoon showers
Rain showers on the way to Livigno. In the background one can see some freshly fallen summer snow on the mountains. I would assume that these mountains are already in Switzerland, whereas Livigno is still in Italy. The Swiss-Italian border is not far away.
Livigno enjoys a special tax status as a duty-free area (Italian VAT has not to be paid). This attracts a lot of shopping tourists.
