My first photo here, displaying the feelings and depth of a subject I dearly love. Mist. Such lighting on this Toscana scene, magnified by the sense of depth with the tree lines makes me want to be there.
Certainly a picture that I would dearly have been proud to take.
Congratulations Marco.

Another tree and mist shot to add to this collection. We are sometimes lucky to wander through countryside like this, just as the ground is warming after a cool night producing such wisp of rising mist. A rather high-key approach here in keeping with the general feeling of mistiness Love it!
Congratulations Tanngrisnir.

And so, the show goes on.. so they say! Another wonderful morning mist photo. Somewhat enhanced by this beautiful sunrise proving that sun and mist is a winning combination. This is the type of shot that I too search for. Mostly without the success we see here.
Roberto, you have my admiration. Well done.
Herb Riddle says:
Well, what can I say about this! Encompassing the very essence of mist, serenity and beauty. The colours and birds certainly lift this up above the mist-tied boundary but heh..how could I not include 'morning mist' in this prestigious gathering of mist pictures.
m@d - I feel humbled!
Herb Riddle says:
Mist -at its best - here at sunset rather than the more usual sunrise. What can I say gazing at such sublime beauty. To wish myself there, trying to capture this like Jimmy has, does not remotely describe my feelings! Of course, as is the way with so many great shots, we have to have a centre of interest. The seagulls gives that to us too.
I congratulate you Jimmy. Take a bow!

Another traditional monochrome mist shot here from Carlo. However my introduction barely begins to describe the beauty of this. The line, the shades - what feeling Carlo has wrung out of Gods nature.
You and your photo, Carlo are worthy of standing high in the world of Mist scenes. Congratulations.
Herb Riddle says:
As we can see here, not all mist shots need to contain trees. Michael Anthony has captured this wonderful view of that hazy sun, through what looks like a very early morning sea mist. It matters little however whether its the ocean or a lake. This is an astounding shot of a subject close to my heart. The boats and sun is positioned beautifully. Anther shot that I wished to have taken.
Very well done Michael.

Low cloud or mist -it hardly matters in this super vista from the eyes and camera of 'A galaxy far, far, away',
As the mist is swept over these peaks as seen from the summit of mount Rocciamelone, we mortals can only guess at the amount of effort to go to in order to get this. It goes without saying that I love it. I hope you do to.
I salute you.
ps. 'Galaxy far, far away, is presently the only photographer with a photo in two of my galleries.
Herb Riddle says:
Adding in a very attractive way to this 'A Misty World' gallery, who could have left this one out? This very misty shot really demonstrates this subject perfectly. The contre-jour mist beams exaggerating the strong shapes of these tree trunks to make them somehow ethereal. Love it, of course! Another great addition.
Congratulations Oskar.

To complete my gallery I include a shot of mist in a city. Taken just before dawn, hence the many street lights, we see the descending mist enveloping the high parts of this city. We do not need to know the city name as this picture says it all. Another one to whisk away our soul on a journey of the unknown. Beautiful shot Kevin, you have my admiration and congratulations.

"The fog is rising", famous last words of the poet "Emily Dickinson" as quoted by 'Julie Frances'. I don't know much abour poetry but I do know poetry in pictures and here we have a masterpiece. A fitting conclusion to this wonderful gallery. These colours and the mist might be my idea of going to heaven, in my final moments too. Julie you are a poet to me!
Congratulations!
