10 Equatorially Diminished Triangular Dipyramids (Aaron P)
I had wanted to design a wireframe at the OUSA convention, so I gave this one a try. Alec also folded this one himself after I designed it at OUSA as well. It is Lang's polypolyhedra #18. Byriah made a version of this with the points truncated a few years ago, here is a link: www.flickr.com/photos/byriahloper/6347642698/in/photostream/.
30 units
Each unit has 60 degree angles on each end and 120 degree crimps in the middle. I used 1.7x11 on this (8.5x11 cut into fifths) but it is a little tight. Alec says he refolded it using 8.5x11 cut into to sixths (1.4x11) and the dimensions were better.
