How to Save a Life
This sweet little face… ❤️. This is something I wouldn’t normally do, and please scroll right on by if you are against this kind of thing!
Today I am going to toss a challenge out to all of you ... or let's call it an experiment... an experiment in human kindness and a measure of the power of social media to do some good. For me, it’s a “Pay it Forward” for someone that helped me on a bad day. Maybe you would like to join me in repaying a kindness that was done for you… here’s an opportunity…
Here's the background; One of my co-workers just had her beloved cat that she had for over 20 years pass away and she opened her home and heart to new kitten from a shelter, only to find out shortly afterward that the poor little thing has a heart defect that will cause it to slowly die of heart failure within 1-2 years, unless she can get it medical help which will cost $8000. That's a LOT of money for one family to come up with. BUT... WHAT IF.... there were 8000 people all helping out (you know, "It takes a village"... and all that) Then together those 8000 people would save a little cat's life and no one would really miss that $1 that they tossed in...right?
Maybe I am a dreamer, but I don't see why this won't work... and I think that this IS the way that things SHOULD work.... people helping others.... complete strangers helping those that need a little help. It doesn't take a lot of money to be a hero, you know.
So here's the challenge and it will only cost you $1 and the amount of time it takes you to read my lengthy post... and let's be serious, are you really going to miss that $1? Let's see if this experiment can work... let's see how long it takes... let's MAKE IT WORK!! Let's save a life!!!
AND HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS... 70% of the funds have already been raised... so we really only need 2500 people to toss in $1 each! Your mission, if you choose to accept it (and please DO accept it!)
