Alone
"I think we're alone now... there doesn't seem to be anyone around..."
And when you are truly alone, all by yourself, there is no one to tell you... "Hey, I don't think it's a good idea to park here. Why don't you park where you always park?" And then... there is also no one there to help you get your car out of the mud... and the shovel in your trunk isn't enough to do the trick...because the more you have tried to get out, the deeper you have dug yourself in ... and so you sit in the dark and wait for the AAA tow truck to come to pull you out. But it's not as embarrassing as you thought it would be because of the state of affairs with the virus, the tow truck driver really doesn't want to talk to you or even touch your AAA card or have you sign anything, so he quickly pulls you out of the mud, no questions asked and drives away, like it never even happened... which is fine with me.... except that the 2 inches of caked on mud reminds me that, YES, it truly did happen and warrants a trip down to the do it yourself car wash. Thank God for AAA. And tomorrow, I'll go back to where I got stuck in the mud to retrieve my shovel that I left there... and I will park in my usual spot this time.
