Barn Goodness
"Let's be good to each other...it's good for the soul."
Because sometimes when you are holding a pallet and a milk can steady while your friend is standing on it trying to pry an old metal sign off of the front of an old out building on an abandoned farm, with a pocket knife, that is the classic accident waiting to happen.... a man, watching from across the street, instead of calling the police, comes over with a ladder and tools... and offers a helping hand. How cool is that?
It's OK because the farm was owned by my friend's friend... and she was taking the sign off to have it restored as a surprise gift for him... and the building is going to be torn down anyway .... but as is the way in some places, surprises don't always pan out... and when he got home that night, the first thing he asked was..."What were you two trying to steal off the front of my barn?" Really?!!
We were also told.... don't go in the barn, there's nothing in there but pigeon crap. Well...partially true... but there was also beautiful lighting.... and one lone pigeon.
