Trains Magazine July 1978 and July 2013
I came across a copy of Trains Magazine I bought in July, 1978 and thought it would be interesting to buy the current issue 35 years later to compare. The current issue has a lot of ads geared to the trade so I guess a lot of people in the industry read it now. One of the reporters in the 1978 issue had an article in the 2103 issue. In 1978 he reported about a change of leadership at Amtrack. In 2013 he reports about two railfan photographers who were arrested while waiting to photograph a historic subway train in NYC (the case was thrown out and the photographers were awarded $3,000 each). One example how times have changed.
