Teletype Model 33 ASR TTY Terminal
A Teletype Model 33 ASR, also known in the computer industry as an ASR-33, teletypewriter terminal. Manufactured from 1963 to 1981, these were used to send printed messages over telephone lines using a modem - sort of a way to send text messages with mechanical equipment. This unit has the paper punch/reader and telephone option.
Teletype Corporation was owned by AT&T Bell System and operated as a subsidiary of Western Electric.
