The white building on the left in the 1993 photo was a former residence that was later a horse transportation office, kerosene heater dealer and Paperback Exchange. Chick-fil-A replaced it in 2008. Next to this was Mary's Luncheonette, replaced with Carrollo's Restaurant in the late 1990s. Carrollo's owned the former Paperback Exchange and used it as a worker's residence until it was demolished for Chick-fil-A. Farther down the highway Marlton Circle replaced with an overpass.
