OK, so it didn't work out quite that clean. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the sheet rock and found the electrical wires traveling through horizontally and the sink vent pipe passing through vertically. I'm neither a plumber or electrician, but I'm not afraid to try anything.
This was over a year ago, and so far no floods or electrical fires. Well ... maybe the gfi trips a little more often than I'd like. But it looks good. I'll try to post a picture soon.
