On my driving trip to Texas and NM, I spent two nights in Pampa, Texas. Each evening, just after sunset, I drove about 30 miles NE into cattle country and 30 miles back. On the first evening I spotted five Prairie Rattlesnakes, on the second evening four.
This is one of the snakes from the second evening.
