Tarryn Monti

Congratulations to Tarryn Monti on being this week’s #ResdientOfEIU.

Tarryn is from Palestine, IL and is an elementary education major. She chose #EIU for it was conveniently close to home for her. She as well felt at home when she visited the campus for the first time. She also felt the same way about her interactions with the faculty. They helped Tarryn feel important member and part of the #EIUFamily.

Tarryn was impacted from living on campus for it has allowed her to be more involved and create lifelong friendships through meeting new people. She is President of #TaylorHall Council and works as one of Taylor’s Desk Assistants. Her favorite memory has to deal with Taylor Hall, actually. By being involved with her hall, she was able to obtain have long lasting friendship. Tarryn told us that she likes “meeting new people and creating lifelong friends.” She enjoys being involved on campus for it lets her to have a position to be able to impact other lives!

Tarryn’s advice for #FuturePanthers is to not be afraid to do activities or events that are out of your comfort zone. We would like to add that you will never know it just might be the time you make friendships and memories that last a lifetime.

Way to go, Tarryn Monti, on having a fun filled year at EIU and being this week’s #ROE! We hope your time at EIU remind full of enjoyable moments and keep making more friendship.
