Briget Toney
Meet Briget Toney, our #ResidentOfEIU for the week!
Briget is from Tolono, Illinois and is majoring in Middle Level Education.
She is a Junior who works as a Resident Assistant at McKinney Hall, and is a dance coach at Charleston Middle School. She was formerly a Desk Assistant, and used to be a part of the EIU Dancers, and was involved with the Panther Service Day and helped with the Special Olympics.
Briget says living on campus has given her the true college experience: “Being in the residential halls I have access to close programs or events happening on campus, academic resources, it makes it easier for me to be involved around campus, and I am basically neighbors with all my friends. Campus is always buzzing with people and I just love the atmosphere!”
When asked for advice for future Panthers, Briget said: “Take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities EIU offers! Get involved with community service groups and extra-curricular activities/clubs. There is something for everyone, so find something that suits you! It is a great way to familiarize yourself with campus and meet new friends!”
Briget, thank you for being such a positive Panther! We love having you on campus, and we are certain your attitude and hard-work is going to touch a lot of residents this upcoming year.
