Kyndal Ward

Welcome back to #ResidentOfEIU!

This week's #ROE is Kyndal Ward from Edwardsville IL. She is a biology major concentrated in pre-health and dreams of one day becoming an OBGYN (Obstetrician-gynecologist). She transferred to EIU in spring of 2017 from the University of Memphis.

Her favorite memory on campus actually has to deal with her work! Kyndal works at one of our dining halls. What she loves about being a part of the dining hall experience is she is able to meet new people from different parts of the world. She has also found that her manager Chris has helped to make her experience memorable by maintaining an admirable and positive environment.

#FuturePanthers, Kyndal has some advice for you! Kyndal quoted Eleanor Roosevelt, “You must do the thing you cannot do.” She truly believes in this quote, especially for those who are transfers since she is a transfer. "I think Eastern is a great choice because of the small class sizes. It makes for a better learning experience, which I know from transferring from a big school." We would add-on to this by saying do not be afraid to make a change to better your experience and education for college.

We asked Kyndal is she had anything else she would like to say to the #EIUFamily. All she wanted to say was "Go PANTHERS 💙"

Congratulations Kyndal on being this week's resident of EIU. We hope you continue to make more memorable moments at EIU and good luck on your finals!
