Drequan Green - Program won at RHA Banquet

Say hello to DreQuan Green, our #ResidentOfEIU for the week!

DreQuan is from Cario, Illinois and is majoring in Computer Science. He is a Senior who is involved with Ford Hall Council. He is also involved with the “Alternative Television and Film Club (Alt-TV)” and works with the Art Department in Doudna.

DreQuan says living on campus and getting involved helped him feel more connected to EIU. “When I first came to EIU my freshman year, I only knew my roommate who I went to high school with. Being on campus allowed me to be updated on events at campus easier, connect with members of the hall, and be involved with my hall council. That has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people and have amazing experiences that helped me grow. Since I am a computer science major, I appreciate the quick and easy access to EIU’s resources to help me complete assignments for class. Also since I live at Ford Hall, it makes getting to work at Doudna a lot easier.”

DreQuan wants to share this advice for #FuturePanthers “Make sure you make time for yourself, both physically and mentally. College can be stressful at times, so make sure you are staying healthy, while of course, keeping up with your school work. A happy and healthy Panther is the one of best kinds of Panther.”

We are proud of DreQuan and all of his great work on campus! Also, this photo of DreQuan is at our Student Leadership Banquet hosted by EIU RHA and EIU NRHH where DreQuan represented Ford Hall when Ford won the Educational Program of the Year Award titled “Don’t “Dis” Their Abilities.” Great work!
