Obstinate

First I used the gradient tool, using black and purple, to create the background. Next I pasted an image of a silhouette of an arguing couple and reduced the opacity to 14%. Then I used the type tool to type the word "obstinate" and the definition. I changed the font color to purple and applied the bevel and emboss layer style to both layers, and the satin layer style to "obstinate." I had to use the magic wand and eraser tools a lot to edit the image of the stubborn people. I changed the color of the boy's shirt by using the hue and saturation adjustment layer. I then reduced the opacity to 74%. Last I pasted the image of the man, used the magic wand tool to make it free floating, and reduced the opacity to 60% in order to make it blend in better. The focal point in this image is the text.
