How High !?!?

I put the peanut butter up that high more out of hope than expectation, I couldn't believe the cub climbed all the way up there ! With ease as well although the others were nowhere near as good at climbing, even though I've seen them climb before it still seems weird to see them in trees. I had to stand right at the top of the garden to fit the tree in with my 300mm lens and have it tilted over to portrait format on my tripod, the tripod's way too flimsy for the lens and having the camera like that it was right on the verge of falling over sideways ! I had to focus on the top badger and then turn the autofocus off and recompose to fit the whole tree in, hoping they didn't move too much, I don't think any of them are properly sharp but nevermind. I know I could've changed the autofocus points on the camera but that's hard enough in broad daylight nevermind at night with the camera on its side ! Mother badger has pretty much treated me as part of the garden for a while and the cubs are starting to now as well, the last thing I want is for them to become tame though, I'm telling myself that the badgers ignoring me isn't the same thing as being tame. If I make a noise they're off like a shot though, I'm in dreamland being in the garden with all these badgers, the best therapy ever : ) The later it is the quieter it is so they're more confident late at night, I've been sitting there at dawn with them feeding at my feet as the light grows, heaven.
