1971 Vauxhall FD Victor Ventora Saloon

England

The 1967-72 FD Victor got the 'Coke Bottle Styling', available in 4 door sedan or 5 door estate. The suspension was quite sophisticated for its time, with a live axle located by trailing arms and a Panhard rod and sprung on coil springs and a double wishbone front suspension assembly.

The Victor was available in either 1600, 2000 or VX4/90 with 4 cyl engines.

Introduced in 1968, was the Ventora version, it got the 123hp 3300cc 6 cyl from the Cresta. It also got a rev counter, vinyl roof and a slightly different grille.

1970 saw a facelift, the 1600 now the Super, the 2000, the 2000SL

The FD Victor was also assembled in New Zealand, the last Victor to be sold there. As well as the 1600 and 2000 4 cyl, the 6 cyl was the Victor 3300, later 3300SL rather than the Ventora.
