1994 Mercedes Benz A124 E220 Cabriolet
Replacing the W123 series, the 1984-97 Mercedes Benz W124 range included numerous body configurations, official internal chassis designations varied by body style: saloon (W 124); estate (S 124); coupé (C 124); cabriolet (A 124); limousine (V 124); rolling chassis (F 124); and long-wheelbase rolling chassis (VF 124).
Initially the four cylinder range included the 200 and 230E and the six cylinder, the 260E and 300E
Upgraded in 1992 to 220E, 280E and 320E.
Also in 1992 was the start of the A124 Cabriolet production. After the end of the W111 280SE and 280SE 3.5 in 1971, the cabriolet was absent from the line-up for more than two decades.
