1991 Ford EB Falcon Sedan

The EB Falcon was built from July 1991-Aug 1993. The EB was nearly identical to the EA, the Ford badge moved from the bonnet into the grille and it got lights either side of the numberplate. The V8 was available again; a fuel injected 5.0 litre Windsor.

Only Sedans and Wagons were available in GL, S, Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia, Utes were still the old XF shape.

A new partnership between Ford and Tickford saw the sporty XR6 and XR8 introduced. They got ABS, LSD and alloy wheels, they also had red inserts in the bumper and the body mouldings

In 1992 Tickford also produced the limited 25th anniversary GT

The 1992 EBII got anti lock brakes and smartlock, base models were identified with body coloured bumpers and black door handles (this an early car)

Engines; 3.9 6 then 139kw 4.0 6 and 165kw 5.0 V8

1990 was the last year Falcons were assembled in New Zealand
