1962 Pontiac Laurentian Sedan
Pontiacs were generally produced in the US. Canada also offered a range of Pontiacs from 1955-70. Bodies were similar to, but not interchangeable with the U.S. Catalina. Canadian models were named Strato Chief, Laurentian and Pontiac Parisienne.
1961-64 Right-hand drive Pontiac Laurentian Sedans and Chevrolet Bel Air Sedans were shipped to Australia in CKD form and assembled at GMH.
Also Right-hand drive Pontiac Laurentian Sedans and Chevrolet Bel Air Sedans were shipped to New Zealand, but in SKD form, bodies already painted and trimmed, Pontiacs assembled at Dominion Motors and the Chevrolet at Todd Motors.
The Pontiac bodies were put on a Chevrolet chassis/drive train. 1961-64 Pontiacs and Chevrolets used a RHD version of the 1961 Pontiac dash, Both got the 170hp 283 cu in V8.
