1973 Bolwell Nagari Mk VIII Coupe

Bolwell produced sports cars in Australia from 1962-79.

The first production vehicle was the 1962-64 Mk.IV. Campbell Bolwell’s reasoning was that no-one would want to buy the first guinea pig model from any manufacturer. So the Mk.IV was the first.

1964-66 Mk V had an E type Jag look, Holdens 6 cyl, 75 made.

1968 Mk VI, (SR6) one off mid-engined racing car.

1967-72 Mk VII; fastback, four fender vents, Holden 6 cyl. 400 made

1970-74 Mk VIII Bolwell Nagari, the first with a name; 'Nagari' and was a fully built production car and favoured Ford parts, including their V8 engines. Previous models were kit cars and used Holden parts. The Nagari had a one piece fibreglass body, six fender vents. A convertible available from 1972. Early cars were Ford Windsor V8 powered with Cortina parkers, later cars Ford Cleveland V8 powered and MG parkers (this car). 100 coupes and 18 convertibles produced
