1982 Holden VH Commodore SLE Sedan
The VH Commodore was built from October 1981-Feb 1984, a new grille and headlights, the taillights got a new louvred look.
Four levels of trim were available;
SL; 1900 or 2850cc, 4 spd manual, vinyl trim, steel wheels
SLX; 3300cc, 3 spd auto, cloth trim, wheel trims.
SLE; 4200cc, 3 spd auto, longer tail lights, black tail panel, velour trim, alloy wheels, headlight wipers, 5.0 opt.
SS; 4200cc 4 spd manual, cloth trim, SS decals, red or white, 5.0 option.
A Wagon was also available in SL or SLX.
Engines; 54kw 1900 starfire 4 cyl, 73kw 2850 and 83kw 3300 blue 6 cyls
V8s; 100kw 4200 or 126kw 5000 (180kw HDT)
CKD kit Commodores were assembled in New Zealand at Trentham from 1979-90. The New Zealand only Commodore Royale had a similar specification to the VH SL/E, but were fitted with the 1900 Starfire 4 cyl engine.
