History

•1992: NORMANDIE : BAI Brittany Ferries : Port of Registry(POR) ??.

•2016: 11 April : Shortcut on electric board caused power loss on board of ferry NORMANDIE at around 1730 CET Apr 11. Vessel with 493 passengers and 111 crew was some 30 nm northeast of Barfleur in English Canal, en-route from Portsmouth to Ouistreham, Caen. Four crew suffered burns, two serious. Helicopter was sent to ferry, two seriously injured crew were medevaced to hospital. Salvage tug Abeille Liberte was dispatched to assist ferry, but crew managed to restore power at around 2000 CET. Vessel resumed voyage, but changed course and headed for Cherbourg, to disembark passengers and repair.

2020: Still trading.
