Trails West # 89

This is a view in the Alder Creek area where the Donner family set up camps. There were originally 22 people. Eight of those would not make it through the winter. It is believed there were three separate camps. This stump of a lodgepole pine tree is considered to be the location of the camp of George Donner, his wife and daughters.
