...as hearts welcome the month of the Urs of the Master of all Spiritual Masters on its 11th.
The first couplet of the famed Qaseeda e Ghausia:
سَقَانِی الْحُبُّ کَاْسَاتِ الْوِصَال
فَقُلْتُ لِخَمْرَتِیْ نَحْوِیْ تَعَالِیْ
I was made to drink Cups of Union by Divine Love,
so I beckoned my Wine of Love, Come towards me!
سَعَتْ وَمَشَتْ لِنَحْوِیْ فِیْ کُئُوْسٍ
فَھِمْتُ بِسُکْرَتِیْ بَیْنَ الْمَوَالِیْ
It ran that Love and rushed to me in those Cups,
such that I became intoxicated amongst the friends in my midst.
242. Allah sends blessings as do His Angels upon the Prophet (with peace and salutations that never stop)
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰۤىِٕكَتَهُۥ یُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِیِّۚ
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ صَلُّوا۟ عَلَیۡهِ وَسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسۡلِیمًا
Indeed, Allah and His Angels send blessings upon the Prophet.
O you who believe! Send blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation of peace abundantly and fervently.
Surah Al Ahzab, Verse 56
Tafseer e Jilani
Then pointed Subhanahu towards the tazeem, exaltation of the Nabi (Allah sends his blessings upon him and salutations) and his tauqeer, esteem and then He placed attention upon his honour and high rank and station, so He said,
Innallaha: Indeed, Allah Al Mutazziz, The Only One with Honor, enwrapped in His Cloak of Azma, Majesty and Kibria’, Pride…
Wa malaikatahu: and al muhaymeena, the angels who are guardians from Him, al waaliheena, absorbed in studying His Jamal, Beauty, al mustaghriqeena, drowning in the honour of meeting Him…
Yusalloona: they send blessings, taking care of and giving importance to the expression of his fazl, bounty, such is their nature and they do it honouring him…
Alan Nabiyy: upon the Communicator of the Hidden News (blessings and peace be upon him), Al Haqeeq, the one rightfully deserving of the varying types of tauqeer, regard and tamjeed, majesty, Al Mustahiqq, truly deserving of the kinds of karamaat, respect and tahmeed, praise.
Ya ayyo halladina amano: Oh ye who attained to faith in Allah by the waseela, the means, of His Nabi, the Conveyer of the Hidden (Allah sends his blessings upon him and salutations), you attest in the One-ness of Subhanahu by his instruction (Allah sends his blessings upon him and salutations), you are the ones more worthy and deserving of tazeemihi, giving him exaltation and tasliyatihi, invoking blessings upon him, and tasleemihi, invoking greetings of salam upon him.
Sallu alayhi: Send blessings and greetings upon him whenever you hear his name and whenever you mention him yourselves and you say: Allahuma salley ala Muhammad (Oh my Allah! Please send blessings upon Muhammad (the most admired)…
Wa sallimo: and send salutations upon him…
Tasleeman: with a worthy salutation of peace, abundant and passionate, saying it like this: Asalamo alayka ayyohan nabiyyu wa rahamtullahe wa barakatuhu - Salam upon you O Communicator of the Hidden News, Allah’s Mercy and Bounty upon you!
Ghaus Pak (ra): This verse guides towards the incumbant nature of sending blessings upon him (Allah sends his blessings upon him and salutations) for the Mo’mineen, the believers, whenever he is mentioned in any state, in all states and any time in which making a dua, supplication, is appropriate.
243. And did We not send you except as a mercy for the Universe and everything in it
وَمَاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةࣰ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ
And We have not sent you but as a mercy for the worlds.
Surah Al Anbiya, Verse 107
Tafseer e Jilani
Wa: And since that this Book is guidance for all of Mankind towards the highest ranks of Tauheed, Allah’s One-ness, so that…
Ma arsalnaaka: did We not send you, O Akmal ar Rusul, you who perfects the Messenger-hood, Al Mustakhlif, chosen as a vice-regent by Us, Al Mutakhalliq bi ikhlaqi-na, the one whose manners take on Our Manners, Al Muzhir li-tauheedina Azzaati, the one made to appear as the Essence of Our One-ness…
Illa rahmatan: except as a mercy i.e. as Da Rahma, the one named as Sahib e Rahma, the merciful one, comprehensively and affectionately for everyone…
Lil alimeen: for all the worlds because there is no one sent after you and there is no religion after your religion. Instead you are the completion of the circle of Prophet-hood and Messenger-hood and your religion annuls all religions.
So it is a must that all of the people of all nations and those who are other than them, they acquire a religion which is your religion so that they reach towards what they have been created for by Al Haqq and it is At Tauheed, Allah’s One-ness and Al Irfan, Allah’s Recognition.
244. The Quran through its revealer is a healing for the illness of heart glued to the world and a mercy for the believers
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاۤءࣱ وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَلَا یَزِیدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ إِلَّا خَسَارࣰا
And We reveal from the Quran that it is a healing and a mercy for the believers, but it increases the wrongdoers in nothing except loss.
Surah Al Isra’. Verse 82
Tafseer e Jilani
And when you have become steadfast and have complete command on the Maqam e Mahmood, the station of praise and the glorious station of intercession - and when you are triumphant with the Hauz ul Maurood, the spring to which all will come…
Wa nunazzilu: and We descend upon you, exalting your honour and aiding your matters (of spreading the Messenge)…
Min al Quran: through the Quran (which you convey), clear, clarifying your elevated ranks from Tauheed, Allah’s One-ness…
Ma huwa shifa’un: which is a healing for the disease of the hearts poisoned with possibilities in the narrowness of existence (worldly) and (it is a healing) for those who are faced with the limitations of colours (Judaism, Christianity, etc) for the ones granted the ability of the honour of your following…
Wa rahmatun: and (it is) a mercy descending…
Lil Momi’neen: for the believers who bear witness to your religion and your Book so that they seek instruction and unveil what is in it of symbols and signs according to their capability and capacity, so that they can reflect or be alerted by what is in it of secrets that relate to the walking upon the Path of Tauheed, One-ness.
245. O Contented self, return to your Lord.
یَـٰۤأَیَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَىِٕنَّةُ
"O soul! who is satisfied,
ٱرۡجِعِیۤ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِیَةࣰ مَّرۡضِیَّةࣰ
Return to your Lord well pleased and pleasing.
فَٱدۡخُلِی فِی عِبَـٰدِی
So enter among My slaves,
وَٱدۡخُلِی جَنَّتِی
And enter My Paradise.
Surah Al Fajr, Verse 26-30
Tafseer e Jilani
Then pointed Subhanahu towards the beautiful states of the people of bestowing and blessings on the Day i.e. the Mo’mineen, believers who are the Mu’qineen,
1. those who possess inner certainty,
2. who collect the provisions from this world for the Hereafter and are attributed with taqwa, the mindfulness of Allah.
3. And they did not go against the Command of their Lord their whole lives and did not follow their desires
4. and they remained steadfast
5. and they purified their nafs, selves, by what happened to them from the Commands of the Divine.
And overall they were never restless in happiness or in adversity and they did not care about difficulty or ease so then on that Day it will be said to them:
Ya ayyatuhan nafsu mutmainna: O contented self, set upon, steadfast on the station of Raza, the pleasure of Allah and tasleem, surrender to Him…
Irja’i ila Rabbik: return to your Lord and ascend upon the way which you came down from…
Radiyatan: contented, being characterized by pleasure the way you were pleased upon Allah’s Commands in the life in this world…
Mardiyatan: well pleased, accepted, most honoured in the sight of Allah.
And after that you returned to this mentioned way…
Fadkhuli fi: then enter in the group…
I’badi: of My Servants who reached towards the Kunf Jawari, My Enclosure and Protection, and were able to attain the Maqad Sidqin, the Seat of Special Nearness to the Sovereign Lord of Truth.
And overall:
Udkhuli Jannati: Enter My Heaven i.e. the Paradise of My One-ness and rest in the seclusion of the Lahoot, the Realm of Nur, Divine Light.
Prayer by Ghaus Pak (ra): May Allah make us of the ones addressed by this address, this address which is pure. Indeed, He is Al Mulhim, the One who is the Only Inspirer, towards good and He has the Best Abode.
