North Cutoff to Animas Forks
This is coming down off of Engineer Pass toward Ouray. The road in the middle is the North Cutoff to Animas Forks Ghost Town. The road going to the right is Engineer Pass headed toward Ouray. Although there are some dropoffs on this road, you shouldn't have a problem in a high clearance 4wd drive vehicle. Roughest part of Engineer Pass is the last 6 miles on the Ouray side.
You can also reach Animas Forks Ghost Town from California Gulch, Cinnamon Pass Road and the easiest way is from Silverton. Almost any vehicle with really good tires and careful driving can make to the ghost town from Silverton. I wouldn't drive car up there, but many people do.
