The Festive P&R Sunday service recommenced last week with First winning the contract back from Stagecoach this year.
Notably because of the changes to the P&R services that First have made during 2012, this year the Sunday P&R offers a better service than on the Saturdays as it offers a 20 minute direct service between the two P&R sites compared to a 30 minute indirect service from Kingswells on a Saturday with the 11.
The P&R site at Bridge of Don was still displaying signs telling prospective passengers that the car park is closed on Sundays and the realtime displays have not been updated to include the service so by 2pm only twenty cars had taken up the service, roughly one car per bus.
The buses are still advertising the £3 return fare but the actual fare is subsidised at £1.50 return on a Sunday. While the P&R B10BLEs have had their displays updated for the Sunday service the unbranded B10BLEs have not and were showing the football P&R displays instead.
62171 leaves the AECC for Kingswells empty. The bus carries no branding at the front following front end repairs earlier in the year which improves the front end of the bus which has not had a lick of paint for over seven years.
