N7 (Union Sq - Stonehaven)
Stagecoach Bluebird withdrew the N59 night bus service in March and reallocated the bus to the new N7 night bus service.
The first two N7 departures from Union Square operate to Portlethen and the third operates all the way to Newtonhill and Stonehaven via Portlethen. The bus operated by Aberdeen depot presumably then runs dead back to Tullos.
The old 907 nightbus service to Portlethen and Stonehaven was withdrawn in November 2008 after two vandal attacks by passengers that caused damage to interior fittings. Bluebird were very reluctant to restore the service but the withdrawal of the low used N59 has created an opportunity to restore the service.
The N7 costs £7 to travel from Aberdeen to Stonehaven against a taxi fare of £45. However the service has so far run empty on most runs although this may be due to the fact that timetables were not available for the service until two weeks after it started.
MAN 22110 now has N7 route branding added to its Nightbird wrap but I am not aware of being used on Stonehaven corridor services so far.
