Borrowdale
In this photograph, taken at twilight from the Woolwich Wharf, at Woolwich, near Hunters Hill, the Borrowdale ferry has just departed from the Greenwich Point Wharf and is now heading towards Woolwich - and then Cockatoo Island.
The waterfront houses in the distance are in the suburb of Birchgrove, near Balmain. In the far distance is the Sydney CBD and Barangaroo.
I have used my zoom lens so that you can zoom in to see the waterfront houses at Birchgrove as well as the city buildings beyond.
The Borrowdale, a 'First Fleet' class ferry (catamaran) was built in 1985. The original Borrowdale (built in 1785) was a 'store' ship that arrived in Australia in 1788 as part of the First Fleet from England.
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6mm lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom.
