Viva la Vida

So the yacht in the foreground is called 'Viva la Vita'.

I think this is meant to be a version of : 'Viva la Vida'.

Which means: 'Long Live Life'.

But it could also allude to the saying 'La Dolce Vita', which means 'The Sweet Life'.

Photographed at Kurraba Point in Sydney.

Looking west across Neutral Bay to Kirribilli.

I used my Canon 75-300mm zoom lens so that you can zoom in to see all the buildings at Kirribilli. In the distance, on the horizon (right), is the historic chapel tower at the Loretto Kirribilli Catholic School for Girls.

'Viva la Vida' are the words ironically spoken by King Louis XVI of France in his final speech before being executed as part of the 1789 'French Revolution'. He was apolgising to the French people for letting them down in their struggle against poverty.

It is also the title of a very famous song by Coldplay. Now I am not really a Coldplay fan (e.g. I don't have any of their songs on Spotify) BUT I think this song 'Viva la Vida' is not too bad. So here it is:
