The Pink Universe

Meet 'Simplicity Pink', a floribunda rose.

Growing profusely - right now in mid winter - at the Swanes Rose Nursery in Dural (northern Sydney)

Photographed on Monday 24th June, 2024.

'Simplicity Pink' is bred by William A. Warriner (United States, 1976). It was introduced to the United States by Jackson & Perkins Roses in 1979 as 'Simplicity'. In Australia it is called 'Simplicity Pink'.

I love visiting the Swanes Rose Nursery here in the Hills District of Sydney (490 Galston Road, Dural) beause it is quite close to home at Castle Hill. Only a 20 minute drive. And the roses at the moment are in a winter frenzy of blooming. Quite strange in a way, because in the past, by late June the roses would be coming to the end of their Autumn flourish. But not now. You should see them.

AND the best feature of Swanes Nursery, apart from the extensive rose gardens, is the brilliant 'Green Vibes' cafe with its new owner & chef. Awesome coffee and superb home-made Thai-style salmon fish cakes. Excellent before OR after your rose expedition. See:
