Blue

The blue house along Commonwealth Street, Surry Hills, amid Sydney's "Bohemian" inner city.

I visited Surry Hills as part of my city walking and photographic adventure last Wednesday, 2nd September, 2020.

Needless to say the cafe at the end of this street - Shift Eatery - was vegan and my flat white coffee had to be made with 'vegan milk' consisting of rice, nuts and grains. Lunch was also challenging - smoked tofu, kale slaw, lime tahini, "cheese" made from cashews, grilled cherry tomatoes, etc. No animal products. No dairy. Wonderful. Not. For the full catastrophe see:

And speaking of "catastrophes", just up the road from the vegan cafe and the blue house, is the cat cafe. Yes, a cat cafe. You eat surrounded by cats. True. See:

Only in Surry Hills.

So I thought 'Blue Monday' by New Order (1983 and then re-released in 1988), would be appropriate to accompany the blue house in Surry Hills. I used to love this song back in the day!

I think you may need to right click the link in order to listen to the song in a new browser.
