Anasazi Beans

These beans were uncovered by an anthropologist, who discovered a 1,500 year old tightly sealed jar of the beans at a dig in New Mexico in the early 1900's. Some of the beans germinated, and the new variety of bean entered cultivation again. It is a large industry in SW Colorado. I have grown them and they seem to thrive on neglect and dry right on the vine when ready to harvest. They are very nutritious and tasty.
