Ganesha Chaturthi 2009 - Ganesha Idols are ready to be transported for immersion

These photos are from 2009 Astroved Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. As a conclusion of the event, the Ganesh idols are immersed in water. This Hindu festival is a hugely popular event and is a big holiday in India. It is celebrated across many countries in the world on the fourth moon day either in August or in September.
