Air Caspian

A Caspian Tern from my archives.

 

Even though Caspian Terns nest in large numbers at BC, they've been one of the "more difficult" Terns to photograph close up. They rarely hunt at the Reserve and they are usually up high when they're over the paths so they don't present many good opportunities.

 

I deliberately cut off the bottom wing because it looked weird hanging down.
