Highway 1, Lake Omapere, North Island, New Zealand

 

Shawn and I were cruising along the highway when we spotted something strange--a few dead, rotting boar carcasses laying across a farmer's fence. I'm not sure why these were there--perhaps to serve as a warning to other trespassing boars. Seeing the carcasses was pretty terrible, but smelling them was even worse!
