Bracket Fungus revisited
Did a little more investigating of the log-inhabiting fungus pictured yesterday. First of all, they are very woody inside and hard as a rock... no eating these. Second, the brilliant white pores on the underside bruise easily to leave a brown mark. Maybe this is so-called "Artist's Conk"?
