Dutch design on a solid British base
What could one say: once you have spent your eye on this piece of classic bus design, it is a real pitty to know that eventually this bus didn't survive. He, sadly, was scrapped in the year 1976.
During his lifetime, 1958 NBM 4455 was is a genuine example of a Verheul bodied "Leyland Royal Holland Coach". Representing a fine mixture of both British and Dutch bus manifacturing, you might call this the best of two worlds...
However, similar GADO 4400 did make it, including a period roof rack (for bicycle transport) and all.
