Renegades
Officially the Empire is at peace. Having rescinded a portion of the executive powers granted to him by the Senate during the height of the Clone Wars, the Emperor lacks full command over the Imperial military and thus is restricted in what actions he can take.....officially.
Unofficially, the Empire continues to expand its military by arming trained Imperial commandoes that have since 'defected' from the Empire. With the Senate unable to monitor or control these renegades, Palpatine often has them perform tasks to help benefit his claims of requiring complete control over all Imperial matters.
Through his aide Hassan, the Emperor often has these agents strike at his political opponents as well as targeting worlds that refuse to submit to Imperial rule. It is a mystery as to how many within Imperial ranks know of the renegades, though some members of the senate are slowly starting to believe that they may actually be tools for the Emperor, instead of the traitors they claim to be...
(Left to right):
Quartermaster Wilson Marquee - Formerly a Republic black market dealer, who specialised in smuggling state of the art arms to rebellions on Separatist worlds. Quartermaster Marquee soon found himself being placed in charge of the Empire's relief convoy, intended to provide aid and technology to worlds that had been devastated by the Clone War. Instead, in secret, his personal Arquitens-class light cruiser 'The Herald' also acts as a mobile resupply point for the Renegades.
Often the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) will conceal advanced weaponry abroad the Herald in order to aid the Renegades in assignments given to them by the Emperor. The Imperial military may be under intense scrutiny from the Imperial Senate, but no-one dares look twice at an aid convoy.
Lieutenant Aryn Hark - A child of Onderon who fought alongside the Gerrera siblings in the Clone War, Aryn is one of the first in a line of new Imperial commandoes to be trained rather than bred for combat. With the need for a grand army all but gone, the Empire has slowly found itself moving more towards recruitment of Imperial citizens than the creation of more clone troopers. Notably the first female to successfully achieve the rank of Imperial commando, Aryn had often found herself at odds with the former clone commandoes but that hasn't stopped her from making her mark. She currently holds the title as possibly the finest sniper the Empire has ever known.
Though her official status within the Empire is traitor, her devotion to the New Order is unquestionable and she has been known to torture Imperial citizens who dare to speak poorly of their Emperor.
Captain Hagen Marsk - Born on the agricultural world of Stewjon, Hagen is the only member of the Renegades to have formerly served the Republic prior to its transformation into the Galactic Empire. As a reward for his bravery, Hagen was personally commended by the Emperor for his service in the Republic Volunteer Corps (RVC) during the latter part of the Clone War. As part of this commendation, the Emperor offered Hagen the opportunity to be trained by Republic commandoes to become the first generation of special forces for the Empire.
Having surrendered the idea of returning to Stewjon in the near future, Hagen covertly ensures that the majority of his payment is transferred to his father's bank account, in the hopes that the old man can live out the rest of his days in relative luxury. Having the longest service record of his peers, Hagen was granted the rank of Captain and currently holds command over the Renegades. This title often results in him being the point of contact for Hassan, the Emperor's aide.
Lieutenant Marco Hijark - The youngest member of the Renegades, Marco hails from the streets of Coruscant having spent most of his life pickpocketing those who dared to venture down to level 1313. It wouldn't be until six months before the declaration of the New Order that the Coruscant police force would finally detain him. With members of the Republic senate soon finding themselves under greater threat from the Separatist alliance, Hijark was offered enrolment into the Senate guard program to become a trained guard for Senator Bail Organa.
With the deactivation of the droid army and the end of the Clone War, Marco son found himself transferred to a new program. The Imperial commando program. Due to his time living on the streets of Coruscant, Marco has often developed a habit of stealing possessions from targets assigned to the Renegades by the Imperial Security Bureau. Much to the dismay of his commanding officer, Hagan.
Flight Lieutenant Karhl Mar - Republic relief supplier, turned special forces pilot. Karhl worked directly with Wilson Marquee during the height of the Clone War, often helping to smuggle him onto restricted worlds and arm rebel factions. It was thanks to these talents that Mar was awarded a prototype Theta-class T-2c shuttle armed with an experimental cloaking device to help the Renegades infiltrate worlds undetected. Though the stealth drive has been known to be temperamental, Mar has made it his business to terminate anyone who is able to catch a glimpse of his shuttle as it engages its cloaking device.
Due to his long history with Quartermaster Marquee, Flight Lieutenant Mar is known to often frequent the Marquee household on Cymoon 4 where the pair often share tales of infamous the Clone War...
