DeForest "Henny and Cocky" Hen and Rooster Wall Pockets

These wall pockets are two of the rarer Henny and Cocky items by DeForest. I was lucky enough to find them listed on eBay together and jumped at the chance to own them! At $30 for the pair, I think I got quite a bargain :)
They are both incised 11-15-57 on the back. I like how some of the more unusual DeForest pieces have the actual date they were made. I wonder if they just made one large batch of certain items on one day instead of mass producing? It's fun to speculate, but I guess we'll never know.
They each have a hole in the back for hanging and a opening for a plant or other item.
