July 17, 1937: HMAS AUSTRALIA [II] raises steam to depart Brisbane - Sunday Sun, SLQ.
1463. The luggage tow has now moved up beside the gangway, and there are now more formal groups gathered to farewell the ship, which has raised steam for departure.
